A witness saw two perpetrators cut through the security cables and remove the bicycles, which were on a car roof rack. The men hid the stolen bicycles in their car and drove away. The reporting party immediately informed the Bogatynia officers and followed the thieves. Unfortunately, on one of the streets he lost sight of the suspects.
The police identified people who could have been involved in the incident. On one of the city’s streets, officers spotted one of the suspects’ cars. The stolen bicycle was in its trunk. And as if that were not enough, during a search of the 36-year-old man, officers found several portions of amphetamine on him.
The officers also established the identity of the second perpetrator, who is currently wanted.
The second stolen bicycle was also found. The value of the recovered property is nearly 14,000 zlotys.
Both perpetrators face up to 5 years in prison.
