On Saturday, June 20, the Barbórka Football Tournament was held at the district Orlik sports complex at II Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec. The teams taking part often play on this pitch. “I came up with the idea of pitting these teams against one another,” says Janusz Baranowski, coordinator of the district Orlik and organizer of the competition. The prizes and a small reception were funded by Barbara Strzelecka and Jarosław Nogaczewski, owners of the Barbórka bar (hence the name of the competition).
