The Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Special Company “Commando,” together with the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, has for several years supported the pro-defense education of young people fascinated by service in uniform, based on agreements with schools. The activities, conducted from April until the beginning of June, were designed to give students a taste of military training.
“The intended training objectives have been achieved. I am convinced that the skills acquired in drill, tactics, firearms training, mountaineering, terrain orientation and water training will be put to good use during the next stages of training conducted by schools implementing innovative defense education programs,” said at the conclusion of the training the vice-president of the Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Special Company “Commando,” senior staff warrant officer in the reserve Bogdan Fiałkowski.
After each five-day camp, the best students were honored with material prizes, while all participants received certificates confirming their participation in the training. This year, eight uniformed classes, totaling more than 300 students, took part in the training camps.
The exercise was co-financed by the Ministry of National Defence.
