Recently, a single-family house under construction was broken into, among other incidents. Police detained two men from Legnica suspected of committing the crime. The stolen property was recovered, including a shower cabin, shower trays, bathroom taps, washbasins and cabinets. Its value exceeds PLN 36,000.
In Prochowice, thieves broke into utility rooms. They took power tools and gardening equipment. Three perpetrators were detained, and some of the property was recovered.
On Tuesday, police officers found a vintage Ford Taurus passenger car that had been stolen two days earlier from a garage in Legnica. The vehicle, which has already been returned to its owner, is worth over PLN 10,000.
On Wednesday, officers recovered in a neighboring county a passenger car, an Audi A-6 worth PLN 43,000, that had been stolen in Legnica the previous day. A 57-year-old man suspected of handling stolen goods was detained.
Also on Wednesday, police proved that a 26-year-old Legnica resident had committed four vehicle break-ins, two thefts of property and a break-in at a single-family house under construction. All the crimes took place in neighboring municipalities. The detained man from Legnica faces up to 10 years in prison.
