The second Community Self-Help Home will begin operating in September in Bolesław. The home on Parkowa Street will be a support center for adults, with space for thirty residents.
“Under the supervision of qualified staff, graduates of the special school will be able to continue their education, become independent and adapt to social life,” says Krystyna Boratyńska, head of the Social Affairs Department at the Municipal Office. The home will have a support and rehabilitation program for people with limited ability to understand and communicate.
The Voivodeship Office allocated PLN 70,200 for the operation of the Community Self-Help Home, and PLN 50,000 for renovating the premises and initial equipment. Activities with participants will take place five days a week, seven hours a day.
