Describing them, as usual we will start with the cinema, where from Monday through Friday, as part of the New Horizons of Film Education project for young people, the “Bonjour La France” review is taking place. The series of morning screenings at our PozaNova cinema presents, as if through a magnifying glass, the problems of contemporary France, which is grappling with Europe’s most important dilemmas—immigration, the benefits and drawbacks of a multicultural society, and social and technological change. The review is also an opportunity to encounter French cinema and enables primary-, lower-secondary- and upper-secondary-school students to learn about aspects of French history, culture and customs.

Meanwhile, as part of the evening screenings, we invite you to the cinema under the green dome for the film “Blind Dates”. It is an exceptionally funny portrait of relationships between women and men and a guide to the meanders of the female soul. Levan Koguashvili’s film proves that Georgian cinema is becoming one of the most interesting national cinemas today. Sandro is a 40-year-old teacher who still lives with his parents. His mother practically begs him to grow up and find himself a woman. One day Sandro falls in love with Manana... Those who are curious will, of course, learn more from our silver screen. Tickets cost PLN 11, and the lights go down at 6:31 p.m.

On Tuesday it will be exceptionally festive here. The children from the non-public “Pajacyk” Kindergarten No. 3 have invited their parents, grandparents, friends and acquaintances to a special ceremony. It will be the formal end of the school year at this kindergarten. Come and offer your congratulations at 10 a.m. ;)

Meanwhile, on Wednesday the Festival of Talents, hosted by Gimnazjum No. 1, will take place here from the morning until the early afternoon. Also on Wednesday, students of the Transborder University of the Third Age will meet once again.

On Friday we invite you to two interesting events. The first is being organised by Tako Media and will be a casting call for anyone interested in appearing in television series, including “Secrets of the Neighbours”, “The Day That Changed My Life”, “Cheated”, “Holiday Diaries”, as well as in new productions. The casting is free, the company does not require experience—in fact, it is looking for people who have not taken part in similar castings during the last two years. It will run from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. And precisely when the casting ends, the final of the Inter-School Film Competition will begin at the PozaNova cinema. The competition is organised by the Śniadecki Secondary School, and viewers will be able to see students’ amateur productions in the form of documentary, fiction and animation short films... Any genre is welcome, so there may be a comedy, a western, a melodrama, or—indeed—even a horror film :)

We also have a special invitation for everyone on Sunday. On that day, the Zgorzelec punk-rock band KoRdon will give its final concert. You will also be able to listen to the project Tytan. It promises to be truly interesting and energetic—and admission is... free! It starts at 7 p.m. Come along!
