The organisers encourage participants to build watercraft that will cover a nautical mile from the Bielański Bridge to a port specially prepared for the occasion beyond the Wrocławski Bridge. Anyone with an idea and a good sense of humour can take part in the event. All you need to do is build a “floating craft”, assemble a crew and come up with that “something” that could enchant the jury and the large audience.
This year’s idea for building a homemade craft is inspired by animals living in zoos. Ideas for the crew’s visual and verbal presentation will be an integral part of the judging. The jury will take costumes, sound effects and the crews’ collective singing while afloat into consideration. The homemade craft must not be a conventional means of transport. Standard and factory-made vessels will not be allowed to start in the competition. Every watercraft must meet safety requirements and demonstrate its ability to stay afloat. This year, the total prize pool to be divided is... PLN 10,000.
