Programme:
- presentation of glass art and crafts
- art workshops for children – painting models of Jelenia Góra’s historic townhouses
- mosaic workshops for entire families – creating a glass mosaic featuring a Jelenia Góra motif
- glassmaking presentation (furnaces)
- firing ceramic products.
The Art & Glass Festival is a two-day event for a broad audience, based on the region’s glassmaking traditions. As part of the festival, the city centre will host a series of spectacular commercial and cultural activities. On the last weekend of June, Town Hall Square in Jelenia Góra will be transformed into a huge art gallery.
Visitors will have the chance to learn the secrets of glass and ceramic making and take part in workshops. Festival guests will include artists, craftspeople and glass producers from across Poland and the Czech Republic.
The event is organised by: the City of Jelenia Góra, Jeleniogórskie Centrum Kultury and the Karkonosze Museum in Jelenia Góra.
