The woman had kept them there after closing the market stall she ran. She estimated the value of the goods at more than PLN 2,400.
What is more, the victim pointed the officers to the probable perpetrator of the theft. It was allegedly her neighbour. As it turned out, the woman who had been robbed was right. The officers arrested a 26-year-old man, who confessed to the theft.
Ten pairs of trousers were recovered. The 26-year-old suspect sold the remaining pairs to acquaintances. He now faces up to five years in prison.
