The guests, accompanied among others by the head of Legnica TPD, Kazimierz Pleśniak, met with President Tadeusz Krzakowski at the town hall on June 1. “I warmly welcome you and wish you a wonderful stay in Legnica,” said the president. “Today is Children’s Day. On this occasion, I wish that you could live joyfully and safely in your own country, and that your childhood would be happy.”
The guests talked about their interests in music, art and sport. Some of them dance, while others sing in the Polish Association for Cultural and Educational Development’s Polish diaspora ensemble “Odrodzenie”.
The visitors from Drohobych are staying in the dormitory of ZSO No. 4 in Legnica. They are touring the city and taking part in fairs and trips, including one to Karpacz. As they themselves say, they like everything in Legnica—the beautiful houses, streets, schools and sports fields.
