The impact was so forceful that, after bouncing off the tree, the car ended up on the road and hit a Daewoo travelling correctly.
Police officers who intervened with the Citroen driver had to use force. The man was aggressive and attempted to break free from the officers and escape. A test showed that the driver was drunk (2.2 per mille of alcohol). What is more, it turned out that he was subject to a court ban on driving vehicles until February 2016.
The 37-year-old resident of Legnica was taken into police custody. He faces up to two years in prison. The woman driving the Daewoo was not injured.
