On September 1, Sopot Festival 2006 will begin at the Forest Opera in Sopot. On the first day of the concert, the competition for the Amber Nightingale and the Audience Nightingale awards will take place. In the semifinal round of the competition, five Polish performers selected in radio auditions will perform their songs. Among them is the Bolesławiec-based group Sumptuastic with the song “Za jeden uśmiech twój”.
The jury will select one performer who will represent Poland in the next stage of the competition. In the final contest, Poland’s representative will compete against foreign performers.
The jury will decide who receives the Amber Nightingale award. The Audience Nightingale will be awarded by viewers. In addition to Sumptuastic, the festival will feature, among others, Gosia Andrzejewicz, Mezo and Miecz Szcześniak, Stachursky, The Jet Set, as well as Arash, Brainstorm, Andreas Johnson, Mattafix and Vanilla Ninja.
The bolesławiec.org editorial team is keeping its fingers crossed for our band’s performance. Let’s help them by sending an SMS during the competition.
