The fifth City Seniors’ Olympics took place on Saturday, May 23, at the Water and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec. Five eight-person teams competed: the Tulipan Family Allotment Garden; the University of the Third Age in Bolesławiec; the Polish Association of Soldiers, Branch No. 1; the Polish Association of Pensioners, Retirees and the Disabled; and the Carpe Diem Teachers’ Social Club Association.
The event was organized by the University of the Third Age, MOSiR, BOK-MCC and Municipal School Complex No. 2. The patronage was provided by Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.
“The event serves to showcase fitness, the desire to be together and to spend a pleasant day,” says Wiesława Olczyk of the University of the Third Age in Bolesławiec.
The representatives of the Tulipan Family Allotment Garden won the competition. The University of the Third Age came second. The Polish Association of Soldiers, Branch No. 1, took third place.
