The ceremony was held in Cathedral Square in Wrocław. Decorations, state and departmental medals, as well as promotion certificates for higher service ranks, were presented by the Lower Silesian Voivode Tomasz Smolarz, Deputy Chief Commandant of the PSP, Brig. Gen. Piotr Kwiatkowski, and the Wrocław Provincial Commandant of the PSP, Brig. Gen. Andrzej Szcześniak.
Senior Capt. Piotr Pilarczyk, Deputy County Commandant of the PSP in Bolesławiec, was promoted to the rank of junior brigadier.
The following people were decorated:
- Bronze Cross of Merit: junior brigadier Janusz Drużga, also honored with a Diploma from the Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service for exemplary conduct and outstanding achievements in the performance of official duties
- Gold Badge of the Association of Volunteer Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland: volunteer firefighter Kazimierz Gabruś – a firefighter with the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Warta Bolesławiecka
- for saving lives and property in connection with participation in rescue and firefighting operations at Kliczków Castle:
- Gold Badge “Distinguished for Fire Protection” – junior brigadier Piotr Pilarczyk and Senior Capt. Robert Miszkiewicz
- Silver Badge “Distinguished for Fire Protection” – Senior Capt. Janusz Gabryś, junior Capt. Grzegorz Pietraho and Senior Fire Officer Stanisław Herdzik (participating in the operations as a volunteer firefighter with the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Nowogrodziec; he also received the Silver Medal for Long Service)
- Bronze Badge “Distinguished for Fire Protection” – Senior Fire Officer Stanisław Konieczny, Senior Section Officer Paweł Szydłowski, Section Officer Robert Piechocki, Senior Firefighter Wojciech Majewski (participating in the operations as a volunteer firefighter with the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Ławszowa), and volunteer firefighter Stanisław Widomski – a firefighter with the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Parowa.
The ceremony was enhanced by an honor company formed by Lower Silesian firefighters, including a ceremonial drill display. A pleasant highlight was that the company commander was Senior Capt. Sylwester Łasocha, a firefighter-rescuer representing the Bolesławiec command with distinction and shift commander at the PSP Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Bolesławiec.
