“People call us idiots, but they themselves know very little,” one of the workers carrying out the road-marking work told us. “We work according to the design. There will be a driveway to a commercial facility here. The left-turn lane could have been left unmarked for now, but then the city would have had to pay twice and repaint the road as soon as the driveway was built.”
“I don’t know whom this left-turn lane would confuse. After all, everyone drives straight at this point anyway and chooses the appropriate lane. We come from Łódź; that’s when things get really difficult on the roads. Everything is straightforward in Bolesławiec,” the second worker added.
Until the driveway opens, the left-turn lane will be closed to traffic. For now, bollards have been placed there; separators should be installed.
