We have already collected 671 cranes! The campaign involved, among others, schools from Bolesławiec: Primary School No. 2 and Middle Schools No. 2 and No. 3, as well as tourists from Germany and the Netherlands. Thank you very much for your commitment!
Using wire, we formed a giant crane with wings spanning 4 meters! We placed the cranes made as part of the campaign on this structure.
Those who have not managed to make a crane yet still have a chance, as we have extended the campaign until June 1. Each participant writes one enormous dream on a sheet of paper and then folds the sheet into a crane; the size is up to you. The resulting model should be delivered to the headquarters of the Bolesławiec Cultural Center – International Ceramics Center, Pl. Marsz. J. Piłsudskiego.
We hope that we will manage to collect 1,000 cranes. Then, on Children's Day, the resulting crane structure will rise toward the ceiling in the BOK-MCC lobby. Who knows, perhaps one of these dreams will come true, because Japanese legends say that whoever folds 1,000 cranes will have one great wish granted, as well as enjoy good health and a long life.
