Officers from the Criminal Division of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec detained a 23-year-old man suspected of breaking into one of the power substations. The crime took place during the night of May 10–11 this year in Bolesławiec Municipality. From a building belonging to an electricity distributor, the perpetrator stole, among other things, six sets of grounding equipment worth PLN 6,000.

Moreover, police officers established that on May 11, at one of the non-ferrous metal collection points, the detainee sold... more than 30 kg of copper. A representative of the company that suffered losses as a result of the activity carried out by the 23-year-old confirmed that the metal secured at the collection point came from the robbed substation.

In addition, at the Bolesławiec resident’s home, police officers found more than 20 kg of copper and aluminum cables, as well as tools with which the suspect was allegedly to commit the aforementioned crime.
