On Saturday at 5:00 p.m., BKS Bolesławiec faced Górnik Wałbrzych at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec. The match began with bold attacks from BKS. Our players clearly wanted to make up for last week’s defeat in Złotoryja. In the 3rd minute, the Górnik goalkeeper had to tip the ball out for a corner after a header by Łukasz Rudyk. In the 9th minute, the visitors attacked, and the crossbar saved our team from conceding a goal. A minute later, Marcin Ciliński narrowly missed from a free kick. In the 13th minute, a combination between Rudyk and Akacki ended with the latter hitting the crossbar. The visitors responded with a powerful but slightly inaccurate shot wide of the right post. In the 22nd minute, BKS launched an attack down the left side of the pitch. Łukasz Rudyk passed to Mateusz Mucha, who beat the Górnik goalkeeper with a fine shot.
After conceding, the visitors increased the pace. In the 32nd minute, following confusion in the penalty area, the Bolesławiec players had to clear the ball in stages. After an uncertain intervention by the goalkeeper, the Bolesławiec defenders managed to clear it. In the 39th minute, Wojtarowicz tested the BKS goalkeeper. In the 45th minute, Górnik’s players launched a very dangerous attack. Grzegorz Nowak’s clearance saved Bolesławiec from conceding.
The pace of the match did not drop at all in the second half. Górnik attacked from the opening minutes. The visitors’ play was supported by chants from around 30 fans from Wałbrzych. Bolesławiec responded in the 52nd minute. Following a Pietkiewicz–Rudyk–Rissmann move, our team scored a second goal. However, the referee made the controversial decision that our player had been offside. The referee’s next decision was also difficult to understand: he showed Rudyk a yellow card for simulation. The BKS player had been tripped in Górnik’s penalty area. From the 75th minute until the end of the match, the visitors attacked furiously, trying to equalize. During that time, goalkeeper Marek Przykłota made numerous successful interventions, saving our team from conceding. In the 83rd minute, our goalkeeper was beaten by Wojtarowicz’s header. Great joy erupted among the visitors, but it did not last long. A minute later, BKS captain Robert Nitarski scored Bolesławiec’s second and winning goal after an individual effort. The score did not change before the final whistle. BKS defeated Górnik Wałbrzych 2–1 at home.
