In Bolesławiec, the celebrations of National Victory Day were accompanied by demonstrations of military equipment and weapons. As part of Open Barracks Day, nearly five hundred city residents and students from Bolesławiec schools became familiar with the regiment’s artillery equipment, weapons and subunit gear, and visited the Tradition Hall of the Bolesławiec unit.
The presentation on artillerymen’s participation in missions outside the country attracted considerable interest. Major Mirosław Friedek, commander of the Fire Support Group carrying out tasks as part of the Polish Contingent in Afghanistan, spoke about the soldiers’ duties in Polish Military Contingents.
City residents remained among the soldiers until the afternoon.
