The funding amounts to PLN 470,000. Thanks to the funding and the allocation of the city’s own budgetary resources, a new sports complex with accompanying infrastructure will be built in the Przylesie housing estate. The complex will consist of:

  • a multi-purpose sports field measuring 19.10 × 32.10 m, with a polyurethane surface
  • a football field measuring 30 × 62 m, with a natural grass surface
  • an outdoor gym with stainless-steel equipment
  • two chess tables with seating
  • three stands with approximately 28 seats each.

The area will be fenced and lit. It will include small architecture elements: benches, rubbish bins and a bicycle rack. The investment also includes, among other things, the construction of pedestrian and vehicle routes. The total cost of the facility to be built in the housing estate will amount to more than PLN 1,500,000. The sports complex will be available for use later this year.

The Lower Silesian Voivodeship Sports Facilities Development Programme has been implemented since 1995. Over these twenty years, more than PLN 290 million has been allocated in Lower Silesia for the construction or modernisation of more than 300 sports facilities.

On 5 May, Voivodeship Marshal Cezary Przybylski and Member of the Voivodeship Board Jerzy Michalak presented Bolesławiec representatives with the decision awarding the funding. The decision awarding funds from the Physical Culture Development Fund under the “Lower Silesian Voivodeship Sports Facilities Development Programme for 2015–2017” was received by Bolesławiec Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz and Andrzej Kuriata, Head of the Public Procurement and Municipal Investments Department of Bolesławiec City Hall.
