On Friday on the A18 road, a 40-year-old driving a passenger Skoda failed to give way to the driver of a VW Passat. The vehicles collided. The perpetrator and four passengers with bodily injuries were taken to a hospital in Bolesławiec. Also on Friday, a Fiat Ducato, an Opel Vario and a Skoda Fabia collided in Wilczy Las. Three people were injured.
On Saturday morning near Nowe Jaroszowice, the driver of a Mercedes crossed into the opposite lane on a bend and collided with a TIR truck. A 25-year-old female passenger in the car died at the scene; the driver, a 26-year-old man, died in hospital. The impact was so powerful that the Mercedes engine was thrown approximately 100 metres into the forest. In the afternoon, a Ford Mondeo overturned in Czerna. Three people, including one child, were injured. In Brzeźnik, a BMW went off the road. Three people were injured there as well.
On Sunday in Parzyce, the driver of a Fiat Sienna passenger car crossed into the opposite lane on a bend and hit an oncoming Mercedes Bus. Two people were seriously injured.
The police warn that the roads are very slippery, making fast driving impossible.
