The incident occurred on Friday morning during a fishing competition in Osiecznica by the Kwisa River. The 30-year-old angler from Jaroszowice accidentally touched high-voltage wires with his fishing rod while setting up his equipment. The rod was made of carbon fiber, which conducts electricity. A witness said that the man was resuscitated for several dozen minutes.
The 30-year-old was taken to hospital. He is in serious condition.
