A resident of Rudna Municipality set off in his agricultural tractor. The man was driving it to the store because he had run out of beer. He did not make it there, as he was stopped by local police officers. Not only was he driving while over the legal alcohol limit, but he also did not have the required license.
Yesterday, after 5 p.m., police officers from the Rudna Police Station, patrolling Rudna Municipality, noticed an agricultural tractor in one of the localities. The way the man behind the wheel was driving indicated that he might be under the influence of alcohol. The officers stopped him for inspection. Their suspicions proved correct. The test showed that the 45-year-old resident of one of the localities had more than 1.6 per mille of alcohol in his system. In addition, a check revealed that he did not have a license to drive an agricultural tractor at all. Asked why he had got behind the wheel in such a state, he said that he was going to the store because he had run out of beer.
The man, who has now been detained, will answer in court for his actions. Driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated is punishable by up to two years in prison.
