On 28 April, the Orzeł Cultural Integration Centre in Bolesławiec hosted a preventive performance entitled “Live Healthy”. The performance was prepared by third-grade “a” students of the Municipal School Complex No. 1, under the care of their teacher Agnieszka Bednarska, and children from Group “V” of the Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 4 in Bolesławiec, under the care of teachers Małgorzata Woch and Renata Paszko. Representatives of Bolesławiec City Hall, the management of both institutions, teachers, students, preschoolers, and the parents and relatives of the children performing were invited to the performance.

The young “actors” prepared a performance aimed at conveying the principles of proper and tasty nutrition, highlighting the health benefits of vegetables and fruit, and encouraging their consumption. Another aim of the performance was to persuade their peers to engage in physical activity. The children recited poems, asked riddles, and presented their peers’ improper eating habits in humorous scenes; they also presented many principles of healthy eating and meal composition and discussed the role of selected vitamins. The dance performances were an impressive feature of the show, combining the ideas of healthy eating and physical activity.
