An amendment to the Municipal Council resolution on the management of real estate owned by the municipality established the discounts available exclusively to tenants of municipal apartments who wish to purchase them. When all apartments in a multi-family building are purchased and payment is made in a single installment, the discount will amount to 97 percent. Those who purchase an apartment individually and pay the full amount in a single installment will receive a 95 percent discount. Tenants paying in installments, meanwhile, can count on a discount of 80 percent of the apartment's market value.
Let us recall that the previous resolution concerning the purchase of municipal premises by their tenants was in force until the end of June 2012. There are currently 6,175 apartments in the municipality's housing stock. Applications to purchase them can be submitted at the Municipal Office registry. Since the resolution came into force, 40 applications have been submitted by tenants declaring their intention to purchase.
