The aim of the provincial competition is to recognize people working to develop education in rural areas and to honor the work of volunteers, as well as to promote the most active people working for the integration, activation and development of rural communities and to popularize responsible attitudes among people living in rural areas.

This year, nine female leaders and one male leader received the title of the most active leader working for rural communities. Wanda Abram from Ławszowa (Osiecznica commune) was among them.

As we read on the Ławszowa – Forest Village on the Kwisa Facebook profile, Wanda Abram received the Crystal Clover, an award from the Marshal of Lower Silesia, granted once a year “for social work and efforts to nurture the most valuable local values, loyalty to native culture, and special commitment to passing on to the younger generation the most valuable ideas related to the development of rural areas, customs, traditions and culinary heritage, as well as the promotion of local initiatives”.

The organizers of the competition are the Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the Lower Silesian Agricultural Advisory Centre in Wrocław.

Wanda Abram is an engaged local government official, president of the Volunteer Fire Department in Ławszowa, a member of the Social Council of the Healthcare Complex in Osiecznica and Bolesławiec, and the author of the book “Ławszowa nad Kwisą”.

Congratulations!
