Thursday (April 23) was the second day of the visit to Bolesławiec by participants in the Moscow–Torgau car rally. A group of approximately 50 Russians, mainly residents of Saint Petersburg, honored the memory of Russian and Soviet soldiers buried in cemeteries in Bolesławiec. The Russians were accompanied by a group of Belarusians and a delegation of Polish soldiers from a historical reenactment group from Szczecinek. Also present was Andriej Jakowlew, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Poznań. The Russians and the accompanying Belarusians and Poles took part in a short prayer and laid flowers in front of the monuments to the fallen soldiers.

After the ceremonies, the rally participants continued their journey to Germany. Their destination is the city of Torgau, where American and Soviet forces met on April 25, 1945. Before leaving Bolesławiec, the Russians thanked their hosts for the hospitality and for helping them travel through Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County. The police and municipal guard helped the rally participants along their route. The neighbors from the east were also grateful for the cleanliness and order at the cemeteries, where they can honor the memory of their soldiers.
