Bicycle patrols in particular visit places that are difficult for motorized patrols to access, including parks between the blocks of flats in Jelenia Góra’s Zabobrze district, playgrounds, green squares, as well as Żiżki Park, the park on Krzywoustego Hill, the area around Morcinka Street, Ratuszowy Square and Piastowski Square in Cieplice, car parks at supermarkets, 1 Maja Street, and bicycle paths.
The primary duties of police officers on bicycles are to prevent all kinds of violations of public order, prevent misdemeanors and crimes, detect crimes and misdemeanors, and apprehend perpetrators caught in the act or during a pursuit.
