Officers from the Police Station in Bogatynia detained a 30-year-old man suspected of a series of crimes committed in the city. It turned out that over the past several weeks, the man had committed four thefts from shops. Among other things, he took cosmetics and household appliances. The detainee is also suspected of attempting to break into and steal a passenger vehicle. In addition, another passenger car fell victim to his theft; he committed this crime together with an accomplice.
What is more, as the police established, the 30-year-old wanted to intimidate witnesses to his criminal activities: he threatened to kill them if they notified the police.
The 30-year-old had been convicted repeatedly for similar offenses and had also served time in prison. He now faces up to 10 years behind bars.
