The training began—still in Świętoszów—with an introduction to the tactical situation, the assignment of tasks and a combat movement to the area of operations. This task tested their practical skills in preparing and conducting a long-distance movement while maintaining full combat support using the reconnaissance company’s штат vehicles.

Every moment spent at the training area was meticulously planned. The main training activities included a series of preparatory and live-fire exercises with small arms, combat vehicles and mortars, as well as the improvement of individual and team skills. An important objective of the field training was to prepare the reconnaissance soldiers to operate in a specific combat environment, namely urban terrain.

The tactical classes conducted at the Central Urbanized Area Training Centre in Wędrzyn proved to be among the most interesting and, at the same time, the most exciting. The reconnaissance soldiers practised patrolling techniques used in urban areas, stopping and searching people, equipment and rooms, organized and operated observation posts, and finally practised conducting an ambush in a city. The soldiers carried out a series of daytime and nighttime firing exercises, as well as exercises in gas masks, achieving very high scores in the training standards completed during the course.

An important part of the training in Wędrzyn was completing an almost one-kilometre French obstacle course. Its individual obstacles posed a considerable challenge, especially since the reconnaissance soldiers undertook this activity after demanding day-and-night exercises.

Another very interesting experience was having all the soldiers complete the psychological course, where, in complete darkness and amid special effects, they had to navigate an underground maze of corridors.

The field training included a series of land-navigation classes, primarily to improve knowledge and practical skills in using a map and conducting marches by azimuth and distance.

A real highlight for the reconnaissance soldiers was the opportunity to conduct training involving a helicopter, during which they practised calling for MEDEVAC. As part of these activities, the soldiers improved their techniques for guiding a helicopter to a landing zone and loading and unloading a casualty while flying around COZ Wędrzyn.

The field training confirmed the very high combat capabilities of the 10BKPanc reconnaissance soldiers. The results achieved in tactical and live-fire training demonstrated the professional preparation of the reconnaissance company soldiers to operate in accordance with their wartime mission. The field training at OSPWL Wędrzyn is part of a training cycle conducted by reconnaissance companies to prepare for and test their ability to operate in specific combat environments in peacetime, during crises and in wartime.
