After two years of touring with a recital of French songs from the album “From Piaf to Garou,” Michał Bajor is embarking on a new concert and recording adventure. He has recorded his 18th album, titled “My Journeys.”

Thirteen (a lucky number for the artist) original lyrics were written especially for him by the master Wojciech Młynarski. The music was composed by such acclaimed creators as Włodzimierz Korcz, Włodzimierz Nahorny, Janusz Sent, Jerzy Derfel and Wojciech Borkowski, as well as by the excellent musicians who play in Michał’s band: Paweł Stankiewicz, Maciej Szczyciński, Tomasz Krezymon and Marcin Olak.

The songs tell of childhood years in Opole, his debut in Warsaw, journeys around the world, and even the characteristics of Gemini—the zodiac sign under which Michał was born.

As is always the case with Michał Bajor, the songs are highly varied: from nostalgic and dramatic to amusing and even playful. Yet one thing strongly unites them—they are exceptionally personal. Wojciech Młynarski’s beautiful, insightful lyrics are highly expressive and captivating, both the serious ones and the cheerful ones. The compositions by such outstanding musicians complete this new artistic challenge for the performer.

Traditionally, after recording another album, Michał Bajor is beginning a concert tour that includes Jelenia Góra. The concert will also feature several songs from his earlier repertoire, including “Warm Me,” “The Errant Knight,” “The Beginning of the Road” and “My Greatest Love.” All were written by Wojciech Młynarski. Of course, the idea for a 19th album is already in place...
