Police officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra arrested two residents of Jelenia Góra, aged 20 and 21, who are suspected of burglary. In addition, the older man will probably also face charges for seven other property-related offences.
Officers established that, during the night of 30–31 March this year, the men broke into and robbed a garage in Jelenia Góra. They stole property worth nearly PLN 1,000: two bicycles, two petrol cans and a set of keys. It turned out that the suspects had hidden some of the stolen property in their apartments. Police officers also found the bicycles, which the residents of Jelenia Góra had pawned at one of the city’s pawnshops.
The older man was taken into police custody. It turned out that he had probably committed seven other property-related offences. The 21-year-old is also suspected of three thefts at a medical facility in Jelenia Góra and four burglaries of cellars.
Both residents of Jelenia Góra could face up to 10 years in prison.
