On April 6, 2015, after 5 p.m., concerned Lubin residents called the duty officer at the Lubin police station. They reported that a drunk woman was walking along the pavement on Niepodległości Street with a man. The woman was allegedly pushing a stroller containing a small child.
The police officer sent officers from the Prevention Department to the scene. Near a bus stop, they noticed a young woman with a crying child in a stroller and a man who was grabbing her. They approached them. Both smelled of alcohol. A test showed more than 2 per mille in the systems of the 25-year-old mother and the 26-year-old man accompanying her.
When asked why the child was crying, the woman stated that... she had forgotten to feed him. The officers took care of the five-year-old boy, who fortunately did not require medical assistance. He was placed in the care of relatives.
The family court will handle the case.
