A delegation from Bolesławiec paid a two-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina. On Saturday in Prnjavor, President of Bolesławiec Piotr Roman and Head of Prnjavor Municipality Vlado Živkovič signed a letter of intent concerning the further development of cooperation between the two cities. The guests from Bolesławiec also visited the city of Banja Luka, where they met with the Polish minority, local authorities and Bishop Franjo Komarica. At the same time, a pilgrimage from Bolesławiec, organized by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, was staying in Banja Luka.

The Municipality of Prnjavor, with a population of 52,000, is located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The city of Prnjavor is home to approximately 13,000 people. The first historical mention of Prnjavor dates back to 1829. The settlement itself dates from a later period. In the mid-19th century, Prnjavor had approximately one hundred houses and was inhabited by around one thousand residents. After World War II, the Polish population living in the surrounding area decided to return to Poland. Most settled in the Bolesławiec area.
