The “Clean Up After Your Dog” campaign is beginning in Bolesławiec. To make it easier for Bolesławiec residents to clean up after their pets, the City Office has purchased 60 specially marked bins and 50,000 paper cleanup kits. The “Clean Up After My Dog” kit consists of a cardboard scoop and a paper bag. They have been packaged in sets of five. The cleanup sets are small enough to fit in a pocket, handbag or backpack. The bins into which waste can be disposed of will be placed in various parts of the city.
The cleanup sets will be distributed free of charge. They can be obtained at the Municipal Guard headquarters on Mikołaja Brody Street, at the Municipal Utilities Facility on Staszica Street and at veterinary clinics. The collected waste will be taken to the composting facility in Trzebień and then used, among other purposes, in the reclamation of degraded forest areas and mining excavations.
The City Office reminds residents that people who own pets are required to clean up after them if the animals relieve themselves in public places. This obligation results from a resolution of the City Council.
