Police officers from Police Station II in Jelenia Góra detained a 28-year-old resident of Piechowice suspected of theft. The crime took place during the night of March 20–21 this year in Piechowice. The 28-year-old knew that his acquaintance had left for a while and decided to take advantage of it. He entered his house through a partly open window and robbed him.
The detainee stole property worth nearly PLN 5,000: two paintings, a therapeutic mattress, a gas heater, an iron, power tools, and various workshop and gardening tools.
The man explained that he had sold the stolen items to random people at a market.
The 28-year-old confessed to the crime. He faces up to five years in prison.
