Tatiana Sołowiowa is a songwriter and composer from Grodno (Belarus). She is a multiple winner of Belarusian, Ukrainian, Russian and Polish singer-songwriter festivals. She won the Golden Five award at the OPPA 2011 and OPPA 2012 bard festivals in Warsaw and has appeared as a guest at festivals in Belarus, Poland (Folk Fiesta in Nysa, Sputnik nad Polską in Warsaw), Lithuania and Latvia.
She creates music in the tradition of sung poetry and singer-songwriter music blended with ethnic music. Tatiana plays the guitar and sings. She is accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Aleksandr Błochin (ethnic wind instruments: flutes, pipes, ocarinas, koliuki and shakuhachi; percussion, jew’s harp and kalimba) and Paweł Sołowiow (percussion).
The program consists of joint arrangements of Belarusian folk songs (in Belarusian) and Tatiana’s original compositions (in Russian).
