Work on the redevelopment of Orła Białego Avenue (on the section from Biała Avenue to Zygmunt Krasiński Street) began at the end of November last year. During the works, the old asphalt surface was removed. Subsequent work included reinforcing the avenues and bicycle paths and laying curbs. Soon, an attractive and comfortable surface made of paving blocks will be laid. Bicycle paths will be marked out, and benches, street lamps and litter bins will be installed. Another fountain with clean running water will appear near the playground. The work will be completed this spring. This section of the avenue will have the same character and surface quality as the section of the main park pathway that was redeveloped before last year's summer holidays.
The redevelopment of Orła Białego Avenue was divided into two stages. The first covered the section from Powstańców Śląskich Street to Biała Avenue. During the 2014 summer holidays, the work was suspended so that Legnica residents and visitors could enjoy the park freely and without disruption. It resumed in late autumn.
