In the 18th round of the regional league, GKS Warta Bolesławiecka defeated the local GKS 3–0 (2–0) in Raciborowice. Chaos prevailed on the pitch in the opening minutes of the match. The hosts created the first dangerous attack after a counterattack, but the shot was too weak to surprise Dawid Kizyma. As time went on, however, the visitors began to gain the upper hand. They confirmed this in the 24th minute. After Raciborowice’s goalkeeper made an uncertain intervention, Sławomir Pełdiak directed the ball into the net.
In the 43rd minute, the visitors extended their lead to 2–0. Damian Puzio found himself in a clear position and did not waste the opportunity. The final score was set in the 49th minute by Mariusz Krzysik. Zbigniew Grzybowski’s team fully deserved the victory. The visitors had more chances and controlled the match for most of the time. Raciborowice did have several opportunities to score a consolation goal, but they lacked the finishing touch. The hosts’ defensive formation also played rather uncertainly.
Both Raciborowice and Warta Bolesławiecka field former BKS players. However, the biggest surprise for the fans was the presence in the visitors’ team of Jan Wojciechowski, also a BKS graduate, who until recently played for Zagłębie Lubin. The experienced player will certainly help the team achieve its highest possible objectives. GKS Warta Bolesławiecka – GKS Racioborowice 3–0 (2–0).
