The direct cause will be a protest action organized by carriers opposing actions by the governments of EU member states, including Germany and France, as well as the governments of third countries (including the Russian Federation), which make it difficult to conduct business activities in those countries, particularly in the road freight transport sector.
According to the organizers, the protest will begin at the Zgorzelec interchange (the intersection of the A4 motorway and National Road 94) and will involve approximately 40 trucks displaying flags moving very slowly along National Road 30, from the interchange toward Solidarności Roundabout. The protesters do not rule out that, as part of the action, several trucks will drive only around the roundabout, which may cause additional disruptions.
Traffic disruptions will also affect the Godzieszów interchange (the intersection of National Road 94 and Road 296).
