The thief took 70 metres of mesh fencing, 155 cm high. The stolen property was worth PLN 800.
Over the past weekend, the arrested man decided to dismantle part of the fence belonging to the allotment garden association, and then moved the mesh and tension wires… to his nearby garden hut.
The 26-year-old man from Bolesławiec carefully rolled up his loot so that he could later easily install the fence on his own plot.
Police recovered the stolen property and returned it to its owners. What is more, the officers also secured paving blocks that most likely came from a theft as well.
The suspect pleaded guilty. He faces up to five years in prison.
