The competition was held under the patronage of the mayor of the Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality, Mirosław Haniszewski, who funded numerous valuable prizes for the tournament’s winners and participants, as well as sweets and juices. In addition, material prizes—electronic equipment—were funded by the KRUS office in Legnica. The office’s representative, inspector Małgorzata Kiełbasa, together with Mayor Haniszewski, presented prizes to the participants who demonstrated extensive knowledge and earned the most points.

The questions were very difficult. They concerned, among other things, the principles of preventing fires and other hazards at schools, on farms and in forested areas, as well as the operation of fire protection services in the municipality and county. The committee, chaired by the president of the Municipal Board of the Volunteer Fire Brigades Association of the Republic of Poland, fire service officer Krzysztof Boluk, evaluated the tournament participants.

The following laureates qualified for the county-level stage:

  • primary school category
    1. Wojciech Skrzypek (Primary School in Warta Bolesławiecka)
    2. Szymon Rygiel (Primary School in Raciborowice)
    3. Dawid Mocny (Primary School in Warta Bolesławiecka)
  • middle school category
    1. Mikołaj Gapiński (Middle School in Iwiny)
    2. Karolina Kołodziej (Middle School in Iwiny)
    3. Patrycja Mazurkiewicz (Middle School in Iwiny).
