On Friday, 27 March at 6:00 p.m., the “W sam raz” gallery at BOK-MCC will host the opening of the exhibition “Is This Art? 70m² of Possibilities” by a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. The event will take the form of a performance. The “W sam raz” gallery (Forum cinema) will not contain a static exhibition intended solely for viewing. Visitors will be able to take on the role of an artist and create a composition from wooden modules according to their own preferences. This is a unique opportunity to return to childhood and break away from everyday life.

During the opening, an organized group of young people, together with the guests in attendance, will take part in a performance. The exhibition’s author will introduce those present to this form of art and briefly explain what it is and how it originated in Poland. The lecture will be accompanied by a multimedia presentation. It will be an opportunity to discuss this specific form of artistic expression. The exhibition will be open until 24 May.

Martyna Izabela Woźnica (born in 1989 in Bolesławiec) received her diploma from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in 2013, specializing in sculpture in the studio of Professor Grażyna Jaskierska-Albrzykowska.

In her work, she focuses primarily on interpersonal relationships and their consequences, as well as their influence on the perception and shaping of space. She seeks to use a variety of materials and methods.

She took part in international plein-air workshops (a Polish-Russian one in Bartoszyce in 2009 and a Polish-Czech one in Olszany in 2011) and projects (a Polish-Czech project organized in Bolesławiec and Česká Lípa at the turn of 2008/2010, https://vytvarnedialogy.wz.cz/).

She was a finalist in the 13th edition of the Hestia Artistic Journey competition and co-created the project “garden in motion,” which won first prize in the post-workshop Common Space competition in 2013. More information about the artist can be found on the artist’s website.
