Police officers from the Police Station in Karpacz arrested two residents of the town, aged 19 and 33, suspected of burglary at one of the grocery discount stores.
The crime took place at approximately 1:30 a.m. during the night of March 15–16 this year. A security company representative notified the police duty officer that the alarm had been triggered. The man found that a hole had been smashed through the building’s wall, allowing the burglars to enter a small storeroom, from which they stole property worth PLN 1,400. The stolen items included a coin box, two tablets and a calculator.
The perpetrators were arrested. They were very surprised when police officers knocked on the door of their apartment.
At the 19-year-old’s home, officers found the coins stolen from the store in the attic. Both suspects were taken into police custody. They face up to 10 years in prison.
