Anna Jantar was an extraordinary artist, well known to several generations of Poles, whose hits became part of the history of Polish popular music. Her songs continue to delight increasingly younger listeners, although 35 years have passed since her tragic death.
In addition to major hits such as “Nothing Can Last Forever,” “So Much Sun in the Whole City,” “The Most Difficult First Step,” “Old Man World” and “The Joy of the Most Beautiful Years,” the concerts featured lesser-known songs. This presented the audience with a fuller, more diverse portrait of the extraordinary singer Anna Jantar was.
Memories, poetry, photographs, articles and a slideshow created a beautiful story which, combined with music and singing, resulted in unforgettable concerts—at times funny and joyful, at times contemplative and moving, but above all bringing the audience optimism, smiles and positive emotions.
Recreated arrangements from years past introduced younger audiences to the Amber Girl, while Anna Jantar’s generation was able to recall memories of their youth. And although we cannot see her on stage, her presence can still be felt. For many people, she never really died; she will live forever in our hearts.
