Squash is a relatively young sport, but it is rapidly attracting more and more players and spectators. Put simply, squash involves hitting a ball with a racket in a way that makes it as difficult as possible for the opponent to return it. Players compete on special courts, most of which have a glass wall. Courts of this type were built this month in Bolesławiec at 8 Garncarska Street.
The Bolesławiec tournament was played in a knockout format, with players competing for every position in the Open and Women's categories. After exciting semi-finals, Łukasz Lisiewicz and Dawid Wilas faced each other in the most important match of the Open category. Łukasz won, defeating his opponent 3–0. Piotr Kowalski took third place. Among the women, Katarzyna Kobierska proved to be the best, followed by Ewelina Bryś, while Małgorzata Domińczuk completed the podium. A total of 38 female and male players took part in the first edition of the tournament, playing 74 matches. It is also worth noting that results could be followed live during the competition thanks to a computer system, while points were counted using tablets, making the referees' work easier.

Ewelina Bryś was the tournament's chief referee.
The competition was organized by the newly established Centrum Sportowe Squashstacja, which, in addition to four professional squash courts, has two fitness rooms, a conference room, saunas and a café. The facility offers aerobics, Zumba, belly dancing, Pole Dance, DeepWork and several types of yoga. Professional instructors and physiotherapists are available to everyone interested and will oversee our physical development.
