Last weekend, the Polish Squash Association’s Open Legionowo Squash Championships, category A, were held. This was another in a series of eight major qualifying tournaments for the Polish Championships.

Two juniors from Bolesławiec, representing Squashwil, took part in the tournament. Hubert Orawiec finished ninth in the under-13 category, behind only Wiktor Paluchowski, the host player, who ultimately finished third. In this category, he won four of his five matches, while in the older under-15 category Hubert finished 12th, winning two of his five matches.

Wojtek Iwan was also registered in two categories, but due to the risk of injury he completed only his main category, U15, in which he achieved an excellent second place, losing only to multiple Polish champion Szymon Lohman. In his semifinal, he defeated Mateusz Ptaszek 3–0, a player he had not beaten before.

Club: – This is a great sign ahead of upcoming tournaments such as the Hasta la Vista Grand Prix (11–13 November) and the British Junior Open (4–8 January 2023), which is the most important junior tournament in the world.
