Play had coverage problems in Bolesławiec from the moment of the ZEC chimney disaster. The network’s transmitters were installed at its top. The chimney collapsed in winter 2013, several months ago. Although ZEC rebuilt the structure, Play’s transmitters did not return to the site. The operator erected a mast near the Tesco supermarket.
Two weeks ago, the network’s spokesperson, Marcin Gruszka, sent us information that the transmitters would be activated in a few weeks. However, this apparently happened earlier, as network coverage has improved in the eastern part of Bolesławiec. In buildings on the Piastów estate, mobile phones show almost one hundred percent 3G signal quality.
