The incident occurred on February 16 in Bolesławiec. The boy’s mother reported the case. She notified the police that her partner, who was supposed to look after her child, had probably physically abused him. The boy was taken to a hospital in Legnica. Fortunately, his injuries were not serious and did not endanger his life.
The 21-year-old has already been charged with abusing a child. The prosecutor’s office is handling the case. It will presumably seek an expert opinion regarding the 3.5-year-old’s bodily injuries.
After the incident, the young man reportedly went to a psychiatric hospital himself. It is not yet known whether this is connected with the case or is an attempt to avoid responsibility. The prosecutor’s office will also clarify this.
