The long-awaited and promised renovation of Forum Cinema has begun. The application for the redevelopment of Forum Cinema received PLN 6.89 million in funding from the Integrated Regional Operational Programme, i.e. 75% of the total eligible costs, as well as PLN 919,000, i.e. 10%, from the Ministry of Economy and Labour. This year, a Contract Engineer was selected for the project and a tender was announced to select the construction works contractor. INTEGER S.A., based in Wrocław, was selected.

The new cinema will serve both for presenting stage performances and theatre productions, as well as for film screenings. The project provides for the redevelopment of the auditorium by constructing new seating, a new interior design, the redevelopment of the façade and building structure with the addition of new stairwells and an elevator shaft, the installation of all-new systems, and above all, stage and cinema technology systems and air conditioning. After the renovation, the cinema will be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and to the requirements of current fire safety, sanitary and occupational health and safety regulations.

Until the renovation is completed, all films are being shown at Orzeł Cinema on Chopina Street.
